Rheinland-Pfalz ticket

The Rheinland-Pfalz-Ticket makes you mobile up and down the country. No matter whether you are travelling alone or in a group, because the Rheinland-Pfalz ticket is available as a 1-2-3-4 or 5-person ticket. The price depends on how many people travel. The ticket costs only 28 euros, plus 7 euros per additional passenger. The advantage for parents and grandparents (1 or 2 adults): their own children and grandchildren up to 14 years travel free of charge. The Rheinland-Pfalz-Ticket is valid Monday to Friday from 0.900 hrs to 03.00 hrs the following day. On weekends, in summer holidays and public holidays you can travel from 0.00 hrs onwards.

The tickets are valid almost everywhere in Rhineland-Palatinate*, Saarland and on certain routes outside the state boundaries**.  You can use the tickets 2nd class on all local trains, on all means of transport operated by the transport associations and with other transport companies.  The prices quoted for the tickets are the prices you pay at the Deutsche Bahn (DB) ticket machines.  For only 2 euros more you can obtain the tickets including personal advice in all DB sales outlets.  More information is available on the Internet at www.bahn.de/rheinland-pfalz. * The Rheinland-Pfalz-Ticket is only valid for rail transport in the Rhineland-Palatinate part of the Rhine-Neckar transport network (VRN). This means that onward travel with other means of transport and journeys within the VRN are no longer possible.
** Valid up to the following stations: Au (Sieg) – Siegen, Au (Sieg) – Limburg (Lahn), Koblenz – Wiesbaden central station (Hbf), Wiesbaden urban transport (Stadtverkehr), Wörth (Rhein) – Karlsruhe central station (Hbf) – Graben- Neudorf – Karlsruhe, Germersheim – Graben-Neudorf, Winden (Palatinate) – Wissembourg (France), Wörth (Rhein) – Lauterbourg (France)
