Mayen-Koblenz District Guest Ticket

Following the successful introduction of a guest ticket in the districts of Cochem-Zell and Ahrweiler, preparations for the Mayen-Koblenz guest ticket got underway on 01.05.2015.

History enthusiasts and lovers of monuments will get their money's worth by being able to visit many old buildings. Burg Eltz, one of the most beautiful castles in Germany, lies beyond the mountains of the Mosel Valley like a fairy tale castle. On the Mosel River, Burg Thurant over Alken and Ehrenburg near Brodenbach transport you back to the times of knights and damsels. Each year, thousands of visitors flock to the old castle walls of Burg Pyrmont near Pillig and Genovevaburg in Mayen.

In addition, 26 dream paths have been created to date in three stages – along the Rhine River and in the Eiffel, along the Mosel River and on the Maifeld.

Free travel with bus and train in the VRM area

The guest card permits free travel by bus and train in the entire VRM area. The special advantage of this card is the free use of all buses throughout the district of VRM region. Koblenz for example and Cochem can also be reached by train and bus and are included in the price as connection points.

And, naturally, this applies to cyclists as well, who can take their bicycles along free of charge after 9 a.m. and at the weekend. Before 9 a.m., taking along a bicycle is possible by purchasing a reduced single ticket at fare level 4 for € 2.80. Simply show your guest ticket on the regular service of VRM and enjoy free travel. This offer is valid within the entire district for guests who are issued a guest ticket upon arriving at their accommodations and remains in effect until they check out.
